Kumho Selected as Exclusive OE Tire for New Audi Q5

 

ATLANTA, GA. (January 27, 2020) - KUMHO Tire ("KUMHO"), one of the world’s leading tire manufacturers, has been chosen by Audi to be an original equipment (OE) supplier for the new Q5 series. This best-selling luxury compact SUV series will be available with the Kumho Crugen Premium KL33 in a 235/55R19 fitment.

 

The Crugen series developed in line with the emergence of urban SUVs, and it has been recognized worldwide as an SUV-exclusive tire brand. The Premium KL33 feature Kumho's advanced silica compound for enhanced traction, tire life, and reduced rolling resistance. Additionally, it boosts vehicle's fuel economy and offers comfort and exceptional quietness performance. Its excellent on-road performance includes handling, braking, and stability performance capacity made it perfect for the Audi Q5.  

The tires are currently being produced at the Macon plant in Georgia and will supply to Audi’s production site in San Jose Chiapa, Mexico. “As a testament of our ongoing commitment to excellence, our products will be produce in high volume and make to fit the specifications of Audi’s Q5,”said Kim Insoo, the Senior Vice President of OE Sales at Kumho Tire. “Demand for SUV in the United States is booming, and we will remain devoted to developing our SUV tires to satisfy the needs of all our customers.”
