KUMHO TIRE AWARDED ECOVADIS GOLD MEDAL FOR TWO CONSECUTIVE YEARS FOR ESG LEADERSHIP

• Kumho Tire earned a Gold Medal from EcoVadis for two years in a row.

• The company also demonstrated strong performance across global ESG evaluations, including an integrated A grade from the Korea Institute of Corporate Governance and Sustainability.


ATLANTA, GEORGIA, January 13, 2026 - Kumho Tire achieved outstanding performance across several ESG evaluations in 2025, demonstrating its strong sustainability management capabilities.


The company earned a Gold Medal from EcoVadis, a global ESG evaluation agency, for the second year in a row. EcoVadis assesses the sustainability of global supply chains based on policies, actions, and certifications across four areas: environment, labor & human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. In 2024, Kumho ranked among the top 5% of approximately 150,000 companies worldwide. In the 2025 evaluation, the company achieved notable improvements in the labor & human rights and ethics categories, reflecting progress in strengthening its ethical management framework and expanding the scope of ESG data management.


In addition, Kumho received an integrated A grade in the 2025 ESG rating by the Korea Institute of Corporate Governance and Sustainability, marking a one-grade improvement from the previous year. This upgrade was driven by management enhancements such as the establishment of a human rights management system, the setting of employee diversity goals, increased investment in information security, and the implementation of board performance evaluations.


Kumho has also participated continually in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) since 2022. In 2025, the company earned an A- rating in recognition of its water resource management capabilities. In addition, it was included on the highest A List in the Supplier Engagement Assessment (SEA), highlighting its efforts in climate change response and ESG management.


Furthermore, Kumho has maintained an AA rating in the MSCI ESG assessment since 2022. It was also selected as a Yearbook member in the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) by S&P Global, a world-renowned credit rating agency, ranking within the top 15% of global auto components industry. At the Korean Sustainability Conference 2025, hosted by the Korean Standards Association under the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy, Kumho ranked first in the tire sector of the Korean Sustainability Index (KSI) for the third consecutive year. It was also recognized as an excellent report winner in the manufacturing sector of the Korean Readers' Choice Awards (KRCA) for the second consecutive year.
