The Crugen HT51, KUMHO’s all-season tire for both on- and off-road driving, will be fitted on the Tasman, Kia’s authentic pickup truck. The agreement is expected to further strengthen KUMHO’s global presence across key markets, including South Korea, Australia, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. 

ATLANTA, GEORGIA, July 23, 2025 – Kumho Tire U.S.A., one of the world’s leading tire manufacturers, announced today Kumho Tire has been selected as the original equipment (OE) tire supplier for Kia’s new pickup truck Tasman. 

The Tasman will be equipped with the Crugen HT51, an all-season tire designed specifically for SUVs and pickup trucks. Part of Kumho’s premium Crugen lineup for SUVs, the HT51 will be fitted on Tasman models sold in key global markets, including South Korea, Australia, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. 

Designed for both on- and off-road driving, the Crugen HT51 offers a well-balanced driving experience — even during long trips over rough terrain and in diverse weather conditions. Advanced technology built into the tire ensures a quiet, comfortable ride on the road, along with strong performance off the road. 

The Crugen HT51 delivers a quiet ride thanks to its innovative pattern block design, which disperses noise based on the characteristics of the vehicle. It also offers reliable handling and braking performance through optimized tread block rigidity and strategic block arrangement. In addition, the tire features advanced 3D block design technology and specially shaped grooves (cuffs) that enhance snow traction, improving braking and handling on snowy roads. Combined, these technologies ensure stable, all-season performance across a wide range of weather conditions.
