Representing the Brand’s First Time Partnering with the Iconic Motorsports Event, Kumho Tire will Support Three Drivers in the 2025 Pikes Peak Open Division

Collaboration Underscores Company’s Commitment to “Performance Without Compromise”

ATLANTA, GEORGIA, June 10, 2025 – Kumho Tire U.S.A., one of the world’s leading tire manufacturers, announced today its first-ever participation in the Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb (PPIHC). As part of its joint, Kumho Tire will support three drivers competing in the 2025 Pikes Peak Open division, as well as activate at PPIHC Fan Fest on June 20. 

The integrated marketing activation reinforces the brand’s “Performance Without Compromise” mantra, putting their tires to the test at an event that boasts 156 turns over a 12.42-mile course, beginning at over 9,300 feet and ending at 14,115 feet. With a presence at the PPIHC Fan Fest, Kumho Tire will showcase its Ecsta V730, introducing the tire’s quality and performance to a wide range of enthusiasts.

Kumho Tire’s involvement in the 103rd running of the Pikes Peak Hill Climb includes partnering with two teams and three racers in the Open Division.  

• Aweida Racing Team / Dan Aweida & Trevor Aweida - This father and son racing team from Boulder, Colorado are competing for their 10th and 5th years, respectively. Both Dan’s Ford Mustang Boss and Trevor’s Audi 4000 will be equipped with Kumho Tire Ecsta V730 tires.

• Sterling Motorsports / Jack Penley - Denver, Colorado native Jack Penley will compete in his second year racing Pikes Peak in a Volkswagen Golf R32 equipped with Kumho Tire Ecsta V730 tires.

During the PPIHC Fan Fest in Downtown Colorado Springs, fans will have the chance to meet and greet with sponsored drivers, as well as learn more about Kumho Tire and have a chance to win various prizes.
