GEORGIA, (November
14, 2024) – Kumho Tire
U.S.A., one of the

launch at their global headquarters in Seoul, Korea of a
cutting-edge system designed to accelerate
tire development in an increasingly complex automotive landscape.
Referred to
as a Digital Twin (DT), the innovative system integrates big data
analytics,
artificial intelligence, and advanced engineering techniques into the
tire
creation process, marking a significant leap forward in the industry.
In response to
the growing
demand for digital transformation among automakers and stricter
environmental
regulations, the Digital Twin system shifts tire development from
traditional
physical methods to a dynamic virtual environment. This allows design
engineers
to generate tire designs, predict performance, optimize designs, and
simulate
vehicle performance—all within a digital framework.

Looking ahead,
Kumho Tire plans
to transition the Digital Twin system to a cloud-based platform,
allowing
design engineers to access it anytime and anywhere. This global
accessibility
will ensure that teams can collaborate seamlessly on tire development,
regardless of location. Furthermore, ongoing upgrades to the performance
prediction system will continuously enhance the reliability and accuracy
of
tire performance assessments, while advanced vehicle simulators will
improve
vehicle dynamics predictions.
