Kumho Introduces the Crugen HT51 Commercial Highway All-Season and Ecsta V730 for the North American 01/13/2021

ATLANTA, GA. (January 13^th, 2021) – Kumho Tire, one of the world’s leading tire manufacturers, announced today the launch of the Crugen HT51 commercial highway all-season and the Ecsta V730 performance product lines. After years of research, development, and testing, these two new products are now available nationwide.

The Ecsta V730 was bred from our highly successful Ecsta V720 OE fitment on the Dodge Viper ACR and we are fully confident in the performance that this tire will bring to the market. The Crugen HT51 commercial all-season product was developed around our highway all-season tire and is engineered with commercial-grade technology that will allow it to perform in the passenger transportation, hauling and commercial applications,” said Chris Han, Marketing Manager for Kumho Tire.

Ecsta V730

The Ecsta V730 is designed to handle the demands of tracks in wet and dry conditions by utilizing an ultra-high grip tread compound with fine carbon black and synthetic resins that further enhanced handling, responsiveness, and grip. Its wide-circumferential grooves improve hydroplaning resistance by evacuating water from the contact patch, while the outer block offers cornering precision and better dry road steering response. An optimized footprint design ensures the durability of the tire by managing the extreme lateral cornering forces. This performance tire will exceed the expectations of the owners of sports cars and other vehicles, both on and off the track.

The Ecsta V730 is currently available in 6 sizes with additional offerings to come in 2021:

- 225/50R16
- 225/45R17
- 245/45R17
- 255/40R17
- 225/40R18

Crugen HT51 Commercial Highway All-Season

The Crugen HT51 Commercial is built to handle the extraordinary demands that are placed on today’s commercial vans and transporters. The five-rib tread design features a stiff center block design for improved straight-line stability and enhanced dry traction. Its four wide, circumferential grooves increase hydroplaning resistance by creating a vortex effect, while the 3D zigzag sipes provide biting edges for augmented traction and stability on snow-covered roads. The two wide steel belts are reinforced by two spirally wrapped nylon cord caps that enhance the tire’s handle, durability, and stability at highway speeds.
